FUNTASTIC FRIDAY LINK PARTY 594 AND SUMMER FUN

Hello! Our Silkie chicks hatched a week ago today, just as we were leaving for Arizona. Only two of the eggs hatched but that gives each Susie and Sally a baby to care for. Haven't decided on names yet but all of our chickens are named after our grandmothers or great-grandmothers (except Susie and Sally, named after Silkies my family had when I was a child). So, I will need to do some family research to come up with old-fashioned names, such as Annie, Eva, Piety, Hallie, Hannah and Helen.

Anyone else here have backyard chickens? Let us know in the comments!
