Summer Wedding--Staci and Jon

With an Island Engagement (did you see our post "Island Engagement and Photos"?) comes a wedding. Well, usually with any kind of engagement, island or otherwise, a wedding follows.  Though my daughter/chick Staci and her fiance Jon were (and are) attending college on Oahu, naturally Staci wanted to be married in Nevada (her parents preferred that too, lol).  As members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, the couple choose the Reno Nevada Temple to wed in.  "Mormons" as we are called, often marry in the temple for time and eternity.  Staci and Jon had made this their goal.  All the arrangements were made, the date was set (August 22, 2014), the dress, suits, and ties had been purchased and a great photographer was selected!  Karina Woodbury lives in Reno and was highly recommended to us.  Staci spoke with Karina by phone and they shared ideas for the photography.  I am so happy to share the results of the session, following Staci and Jon's marriage.

Such a happy couple!

All Smiles!

Bride and Maid of Honor--my twochicks.

What's a wedding kiss without your niece being disgusted?

Staci wanted some color amidst her white gown--she had chosen this beautiful shade of blue for a wedding color and ordered these shoes from bridalshoes.com.  Pretty, aren't they?

In Reno, there is a lovely park and recreation area, Rancho San Rafael, right in town and not far from the University of Nevada-Reno.  Karina took the kids there for some more beautiful photos.

Isn't this a lovely photo of a lovely bride?

Can't believe it has already been a year!

These very beautiful photos, as I mentioned earlier, were taken by Karina Woodbury of Keciwood Photography in Reno, Nevada.  Her Facebook page link is:

Karina does amazing work (as you can see) and is a pleasure to work with.

We have more photos of the reception (which was held in our small town north of Reno) with yet another amazing photographer but those are for another day and another post.

Thanks for stopping by and we hope you enjoyed!
