Patriotic Goodies and Decor

Hello!  It is May and one thing that I love is the start of "Red, White, and Blue" holidays--Memorial Day, Flag Day, and the 4th of July!  I love those colors and holidays.  This year, I will probably be a bit behind in decorating--we are remodeling our kitchen and my dining room/kitchen items are in my living room.  A big mess, actually.  I'm sure if you have remodeled before you know what I am talking about.  It will be so nice when it is done, though!

Here are a few items that are Patriotic-themed:

These Patriotic Candle Holders are some I made years ago.  I have also made a few sets as gifts for friends and family.  I put them put every May--might be June this year lol.

This is a easy and simple addition to your summer decor and makes a nice hostess gift, too!  Patriotic Simple Gift instructions.  I used a Chocolate Mint plant--smells so good!

While this next post isn't decor, everyone  needs some sweets sometimes, yeah?

Welcome to Snickerdoodle Create Bake Make Link Party for May 7, 2017!  Thanks for stopping by!  How is your weekend?  Ours is busy with the kitchen remodel, plus my daughter Ali Rose is going to Prom tonight with her boyfriend, Tanner.  Such an exciting time for high school students!

Here is a project I made last year for my "patriotic months" decor (May, June, and July I always decorate with red, white, and blue).
Very easy with a paper bag and craft paints.

Hi and welcome to Funtastic Friday Link Party!  It's Star Wars Day so Happy May the Fourth Be with You!  I cannot believe it has been 40 years this month since the movie came out.....and I decided Harrison Ford was the best-looking man my teenage eyes had seen.  I still married my handsome Larry, though lol.

With Mother's Day next weekend, I thought I would share a few Easy Mother's Day desserts, just in case you want to make one.  For mom.  Or yourself.  Either works just fine.

3 Boys and a Dog has some very easy and tasty Peanut Butter cookies:

Cooking with Curls has a delicious Paleo Lemon Cheesecake for those Moms who like lemon:
