EASY TO MAKE STAR TREK COSTUMES

This post contains Amazon affiliate links. If you make a purchase using one of these links, I will earn a small commission, which will not affect the pricing for you.

Is there a Trekkie in your house? Or someone who aspires to join Starfleet Academy?
I loved the original series as a kid and the movies, too, (well, maybe not ALL the movies lol. We really loved the Wrath of Khan and The Voyage Home). Our family was so excited when they rebooted the movies a few years back with Chris Pine (mostly Staci about that casting choice haha).

Anyway, if you need a quick costume AND being a member of Starfleet is your dream, here is what the girls and I did a few years back for Halloween.

Two long sleeve t-shirts, one red and one blue. I found similar ones HERE on Amazon.

Printer paper and colored printer ink.

Star Fleet insignia. Here is a free printable at this SITE. You can also purchase an actual pin with clasp on Amazon HERE.

Black slacks or leggings.

Black undershirt (optional).

Black boots or high-top tennis shoes.

Practice your "live long and prosper" hand signal. Not everyone can do that!

If you want to go all in, you could also purchase Vulcan ears, phaser, etc. but we just kept it simple with clothing.

Once I printed the Star Fleet insignia (you will probably have to size it down to be actual size), I cut it out and used the scrapbook adhesives I had on hand to adhere the insignia to the shirts. Whatever type of temporary adhesive you might have.

That's the only photo I took of Staci and Ali but, as mentioned above, they did wear black slacks and black boots. I want those who are familiar with Star Trek, that even though Ali was a "red shirt," she survived the evening lol. IYKYK.

Thanks for stopping by!
