Hello to all! How are your Thanksgiving plans and menus coming along? In our family, you really don't change the menu after this many years! Turkey, GREAT-GRANDPA'S OLD-FASHIONED STUFFING,
homemade mashed potatoes, gravy made with pan drippings, etc. This year, we will have five of the kids, three of the grandkids, couple of in-laws, a boyfriend (not mine hahaha), and our granddaughter's BFF (they go to the same high school and both are in marching band/band together).
I try to have Thanksgiving coloring pages or word searches on-hand to entertain before dinner and after dinner, we will play Thanksgiving Bingo! It can get pretty tense......

We don't change our menu up much at all from year to year either... usually just the type of bread/roll we try out and our 2nd dessert idea are "new" but everything else stays the same.
ReplyDeleteHappy Thanksgiving, Donna! We stick to the same beloved menu each year, too, although now it's a bit challenging as my husband has needed to go gluten and dairy free! No stuffing/dressing for him among other things! Wish me luck in coming up with a few dishes he'll enjoy!
ReplyDeleteOur only tradition is to have that canned cranberry sauce on the table even though none of us eat it. My brother demands it be there but he and his wife don't even usually come because his wife has to work. It's weird. We also have started a fairly new tradition of playing a marble game called Aggravation which aggravates everyone. Ha!
