Happy Thanksgiving and welcome to the link party!  Are you ready for Thanksgiving?  We will have about 15 or 16 at our house but I assigned some side dishes lol.  Ali Rose will help me make some other side dishes and pies tomorrow and of course, the our Old-fashioned Thanksgiving Stuffing.   That will get made on Thanksgiving morning and stuff the turkey!  Do you have any favorite or family recipes that you make every year?  Link up your recipe or leave me a comment below!

Onto the party!

Christmas Crunch Candy

Yes, tis the season for shopping, wrapping, decorating, and goodie making!  Of course, easy is great, right?  This recipe is simple and is also very tasty.  We make a couple of batches every year to include on our goodie plates for neighbors, etc.

Christmas Crunch Candy

Wilton Candy Melts, one bag (White or Vanilla)
**you can also use white almond bark
Fruit flavored cereal, such as Froot Loops
Chow Mein Noodles--the dry ones!
Mini colored marshmallows
Cashew pieces or slated peanuts, if desired
***Instead of the chow mein noodles, you can use mini pretzels broken into smaller pieces
I REALLY DON'T MEASURE AMOUNTS FOR THIS CANDY BUT IF YOU PREFER YOU CAN START WITH 1 CUP OF MARSHMALLOWS, CEREAL, AND NOODLES AND 1/2 CUP NUTS

Place candy melts or almond bark into microwave-safe mixing bowl.  Melt for 60 seconds, then stir.  Melt for additional time (in 30 second increments) until majority of melts are melted.  Stir until smooth.

Add the chow mein noodles (I break mine up a bit with my hands before adding them to bowl) or mini pretzels.  Stir in fruity cereal, marshmallows, and nuts.  Stir till coated.

Using a smaller spoon, place spoonfuls of the mixture onto wax paper or parchment paper placed on counter.  Allow candy time to harden and set up.

Time to eat up!  Don't forget to share with your neighbors!

Thanks for visiting!
