Mid-Century Modern Bathroom Re-Do

Recently, I decided to go our hallway bathroom a bit of a makeover. I didn't want to spend a lot of money and wanted to keep it to accessories and decor within a certain budget. Being a child growing up in the 60s and 70s (might as well admit it lol), I have always been drawn to decor from those eras or even the 50s. I wanted to do something colorful and retro, without breaking the bank.

I started my search perusing Pinterest for ideas. I then visited Etsy for ideas and merchandise, as well as Amazon.

On Amazon, I found these metal ATOMIC STARS! They are a good quality metal and come with adhesive dots to place on a surface. However, I found that they didn't adhere to my bathroom wall with just the enclosed dots so I added a bit of Gorilla sticky dots to hold them in place. I really do love the color!

What a bathroom redo without a new shower curtain? Since I am crazy about that particular era, I had to add the black cats famous during that time period. This SHOWER CURTAIN
was perfect for the look I was going for. It comes in several colors, too! The BATH MATS came from Amazon, too, and add a great splash of color.

Another view of the shower curtain and atomic stars.

I visited Etsy and found this DOWNLOADABLE PRINT with the perfect Atomic black cat! You can print off various sizes, too. I also ordered various light switches and outlet covers in three colors (pink, turquoise and orange) HERE..

While I was very into the bright colors and black cats of the time, I wanted to honor my Florida roots with a bit of vintage flamingo. I found this cute soap dispenser on ETSY. I find it cute and durable (for the grandkids).

Last but not least, I know a clock seems a strange addition to a bathroom (or maybe not haha) but I originally was going to do a spare bedroom in MCM style. However, I went with the bathroom but loved the clock too much to send it back. You can find it HERE. It comes in a variety of colors and is battery-powered. The black starbursts and Atomic astronaut cats came in a set from AMAZON.. Again, the enclosed adhesive dots didn't hold the cats up so well, so I used my own to secure them.

I hope you enjoyed my review of my Mid-Century Modern/Retro bathroom redo! I had fun planning it out!

Thanks for stopping by!
